Bangin’ Faux-sage Gravy
from the SSB Kitchen
Serves 4-6 reasonably hungry individuals
INGREDIENTS
2 T Grassy Point Vegan Spread
1 C Original Bangers (Crumbles or chopped)
1 t fine ground black pepper
2 ½ T all-purpose flour (or flour of choice)
2 T nutritional yeast
2 C soy milk (or other non-dairy milk)
Pinch salt
Dash Grassy Point Pepper Sauce
METHOD

Melt Vegan Spread in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add flour and stir until incorporated. Continue to cook until roux starts to darken.

Add Banger Crumbles, yeast and pepper and cook for 2 minutes.

Add ½ the soymilk in a slow, steady stream, stirring constantly. Once the skillet contents return to a simmer, add the second half of the soymilk in the same fashion. Stir, stir, stir!

Season to taste with salt and Pepper Sauce. If the gravy is too thick for your liking, add soy milk or water to thin.

Serve with Gail’s Best Buckwheat Biscuits (or any delicious biscuit of your choice).
